Delete your account
This page explains how to request deletion of your SoFly account and associated data. SoFly is the flight tracking app on Google Play.
Request account deletion
- Send an email to dnorgarb@gmail.com from the email address registered to your account.
- Use the subject line SoFly account deletion request.
- We verify ownership and process the request within 30 days.
Tip: if you also want synced flights, replays, and share links removed, mention that in your email.
Delete data without deleting your account
Open the SoFly app, go to Flights, select a recording, and delete it. That removes the flight and its synced track data from our servers while keeping your account active.
What we delete with your account
- Account profile (display name, email address, profile photo)
- Login credentials (password and Google sign-in linkage)
- Home base and unit preferences
- Active sessions and API tokens
- Push notification device tokens
- Synced flights, track files, replays, and share links (on request or when included in your deletion email)
What may be kept
- Encrypted server backups for up to 90 days, then purged
- Minimal technical logs needed to operate and secure the service
- Data we are required to keep by law
